Back in the fall of 2006, I left on my first journey outside of North America (I’d been to various parts of the USA & Western Canada before that). Following in the footsteps of my friend Gary Yetter, I signed up at travelblog.org and began to document my adventures.

I kept a pretty detailed travel blog during that first 6-month, around-the-world trip. Honestly, it was one of the funnest things I ever did. I enjoyed sharing my photographs and writing little stories about the places I visited and the things I learned. But, I fell off and didn’t really update it after that trip (aside from a few brief posts in 2009-2010).
